San Bernardino County Launches Disaster Preparedness App

Residents encouraged to use ‘Ready SB’ before, during, and after emergencies

Description: The new app, Ready SB, provides residents with multiple resources that will assist them in preparing for a disaster. Ready SB is now available as a free download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store and can immediately help residents prepare themselves for emergencies.

Point-of-Dispensing (POD) Exercise

Volunteers Needed!

Date and Time: Monday, May 21, 2018, 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm. Please refer to Flyer for more details.

Location: Luque Center, 292 East “O” Street, Colton, CA

Cost: FREE

Description: This Exercise is being offered by San Bernardino County Department of Public Health. Volunteers may serve as “client” actors or POD staff. A POD is a location that provides medications and vaccines to a large community during a public health emergency, such as pandemic influenza or bioterrorism event. Just-in-time training will be provided for those interested and available. Volunteers are expected to stay for a total of 3 hours. Dress: Work appropriate (casual), uniform as appropriate (DisasterCorps, CERT, MRC), and comfortable shoes.
